Kodiak Seating Systems. Continuing our design heritage through innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Over 60 Years of Great Service and Innovation
In 1963 Royal Stewart Ltd. began operations to meet the growing demanding for gymnasium equipment and seating within the Canadian sports and entertainment market. They ran into a major issue 10 year later when their equipment supplier went out of business leaving them with multiple orders to fill and no one to build them. Ownership had a decision to make, close the doors or throw a “Hail Mary” and bring the manufacturing in house. It was at this time that Kodiak Industries was born. The product was a hit and it did not take long before Kodiak expanded it’s market by selling to the United States and abroad.
Royal Stewart and Kodiak then worked as partners for nearly 40 years until 2010, when Royal Stewart acquired Kodiak Industries and continued to produce telescopic bleachers now known as The Kodiak Seating System. The ownership may have changed but the high quality design and integrity of the bleacher system has never wavered and continues to evolve and improve upon the product design to supply customers with the best telescopic platforms possible.
Since our start in 1963, we have had the pleasure and satisfaction to oversee a number of great projects in Canada, The United States and as far abroad as Saudi Arabia and Peru. Our product can be found in Elementary, Middle and High Schools, Universities and Colleges, as well as hockey rinks, football and baseball stadiums and pools. To name a few we are proud to have supplied two Pan American Games (1967 and 1999), two Olympic games in Montreal and Calgary, and numerous projects in The United States and beyond.
